1959 McGruer Bermudian Yawl

Commissioned by Archibald J. Barr, grandson of the famous Charlie Barr, WESTWARD OF CLYNDER was built by the famous Scottish shipyard of Mac Gruer known to be the Royal's fetish shipyard. She is exhibited at the Boat Show the following year to showcase the quality of her construction in teak and mahogany and to dedicate the pencil stroke of her architect. Very sturdy construction, easy to maneuver because of her split rigging; she is a good seaworthy in all weather conditions and at all speeds as well as very comfortable even in bad weather! Involved in many regattas, WESTWARD OF CLYNDER has always lived up to her reputation.
