TORTUGA III is a masterpiece by Philip Rhodes, masterfully built in 1963 by the Sangermani shipyard. Still owned by the same family, in 2015 she returned to Sangermani for a thorough restoration, after another previous major refit at Cantieri Beconcini in 2001/2002.
She is a very comfortable and pleasant yacht at sea.
The boat bears the Yacht Club Italiano burgee, has participated in the international Classic Sails circuits with good results and has never been chartered.
The published photos illustrate well the quality of construction and the elegance of its interior.
The restoration work involved the hull, ballast and keel, deck, masts, interiors, engine room, water and fuel tanks, electrical system by Cantalupi, replacement of the brakes wheelhouse with hydraulic system, and new air conditioning systems.
INTERIOR
The interior is, like the deck, extremely comfortable.
The owner's stateroom is truly remarkable: a very large and elegant cabin with its comfortable ensuite bathroom with tub.
There are two guest staterooms, a single and a double with a bathroom.
A very comfortable and wide saloon is under the deckhouse, plenty of light.
Good size galley with great space for storing.
At the bow sails cove and crew quarters for two with their bathroom with access from the galley or separate access from deck entrance.
