1977 Custom Frers Two Tonner

GARGANTUA is a Two Tonner racer-cruiser, 2nd class IOR, born from the happy union of the genius of naval architect German Frers and the skill of shipwright Arrigo Petronio who built it in his shipyard in Trieste. It is a fast and comfortable hull built of laminated wood, with six comfortable single beds and two berths in the saloon, a separate toilet with washbasin and toilet, and a full kitchen equipped with a fridge.
Between 2019 and 2022 the boat was completely restored with work done to perfection, using excellent materials, by Tecnomar of Fiumicino.

GARGANTUA was built for the family of Ferruccio Ferranti of Ancona, friends of Giulio Viezzoli owner of Histria Rossa, built by the same yard. 
In 1996 ownership passed to the second owner and in 2009 to the third who owned her for 10 years. This boat has never left European territory in the course of her history and was registered in the Italian register until 2020.

Work carried out in 2019/2022
Hull brought to barewood, completely rebuilt with complete cycles for both hull and topsides in 2022. Last antifouling 2022. New transom 2022.
Deck completely stripped and repainted, disassembling all equipment.
No. 7 bronze seacocks 2021.

INTERIOR
4 single beds in forward cabin, 2 aft beds and 2 bunks in saloon.
Full cushions.
Separate toilet with washbasin and electric toilet 2021. 
Galley with 3-burner tilting cooker with oven and fridge.

ENGINE diesel Volvo Penta EB MD11C 18kw, brought to 0 hours July 2022, installed amidships with hydraulic transmission.
