The GB-52 "Tangent" is a proven seaworthy (CE class A) tough and solid motor vessel. The current second owner made long journeys over large open waters and European rivers and canals. She is fully equipped for long sea trips but also for inland waterways. The bilge keels make the ship suitable for drying out. She was launched at the end of 2009 by the 1st owner/builder who had her from 2009-2013. The Tangent is now being offered for takeover by the 2nd owner who sailed under the Dutch flag. The ship underwent a professional refit at a Dutch shipyard in the spring of 2022. This consisted of, among other things;
- blasting and recoating with two-component primer system of the underwater ship
- replacing the windows in the wheelhouse for double insulating glass in plastic rebates, making the ship even better suited for living on board and sailing in colder areas
- recoating with a two-component paint system of the hull , deck and superstructure
- maintenance of the teak deck
- extensive service of the engines
The Tangent is "ready to go" and very complete equipped with, among other things, a hydraulic anchor winch on bow and stern, hydraulic bow thruster, hydraulic crane, central heating, watermaker, generator and much more. The ship has an exceptional galley and is therefore particularly suitable for (semi) permanent residence. The GB-52 can easily be sailed with 2 people, but the accommodation can accommodate 8 adults in total. Various upgrades and adjustments have been made in recent years, including the installation of teak decks and a new navigation and radar system. A passarelle and sun tent were installed in 2019. The logs and service reports are available for inspection upon viewing. It is important for any buyer from the UK to know that the VAT has been paid in the UK.
