St Kitts III (Ex Circe) was designed in 1937 by A.E Luders and built at his yard Luders Marine Constructions Co. in the USA. St Kitts III (Circe) has been described by many as the most successful racing yacht produced by the Luders Yard. In 1938 she was helmed by J.Herbert Thom, one of Scotland's best helmsmen and had tremendous success in America during the Seawanhaka Cup.
Spending much of her life in the Bay of Quinte on Lake Ontario, Circe was purchased by Philip Walwayn (he had owned the moderns St Kitts I and II), shipped to the island of St Kitts in the early 90’s where a full restoration was undertaken. In 1999 the now renamed St Kitts III was entered into Antigua Classic Week before being sold and shipped the UK in 2000.
Owned by the current owner since 2000, St Kitts III has been taking part in both National 6 Metre Events and local racing in Fowey.
